Razzle Berry Upsy Daisy

I made this card packet and birthday card for a gift, I was so pleased with the colors and the outcomes. The card holder is just a piece of 81/2"x11" cardstock scored and folded to fit the cards, I then punched holes on each side of the cards and wove the ribbon through to hold the cards in place, simple but effective. It holds 8 different cards and envelopes for all occasions. My inspiration was the colors in the DSP.

The inside of the card holder.

2 cards using the Razzle Dazzle stamp set and various SU punches

Two more cards with little stamping save for the sentiments. One has been stamped with Versamark for a tone-on-tone look.

Upsy Daisy, I tried the shadow effect, by lifting the stamp slightly and restamping without re-inking.

More Versamark and tone-on-tone,
Colors throughout are Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry. I love these together!
One thing I found out while doing this set....
SU Whisper White is FAR superior to other brands. I had some precut and scrap pieces that I used for all the cards but the one with the Melon Mambo Razzle Dazzle stamp, in the third picture, I couldn't get a solid image and was very frustrated with the results; I've since discarded all my scraps that are not SU Whisper White. May as well use the best and be happy with the results.
Thanks for looking.....have a great weekend!

Spirelli Circles

These were cards I did for a swap I was in. I used my Spirelli punches and sewing machine embroidery thread for the embellishments. These were placed on backgrounds stamped with Circle Circus. The pink card is stamped with Pink Passion and Pixie Pink while the Purples are Orchid Opulence and Lovely Lilac. The sentiment is from Simple friendship which was punched out with a Word Window punch and then layered onto the Modern Label punch. I added a self stick Rhinestone to the centre of each medallion and some silver sticker dots to the petals for added bling. The results are actually quite nice IRL.

Hope you have a nice day!

Post-it Notes

Working on my samples and door prizes for my card workshop coming up next week. These are from the same source as this post; http://papercraftsloveaffair.blogspot.com/2009/08/post-it-note-holders.html, they are fun and easy as well as very useful. I love the way the snowflakes pretty up the plain Whisper White and Craft paper. There is glitter on one of the Craft ones but I decided against adding it to the others as I think it would be messy on this project; it gets handled too much.
Thanks for looking.
Have a great day!

Sweet Centers

I cased this card from this blog; http://gulfcoaststamper.blogspot.com/2009/09/l-is-for-love.html; I thought it was a wonderful alternative use for this punch and the stamp set.

Then I made the two treat cards with the sweet centers cups for samples at my up coming Christmas Card Bonanza. There is a pull tab on each so you can get to the treats with out destroying the cards; or refill them if you want to.

Delightful Decorations

I love this set and the cards many have made with it. I played again the other night with my toys and these are what I came up with.

I used the Delightful Decorations set and the Baroque Motifs as well as the sentiment from Warm Words. The second card uses DSP from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper pack found in the Holiday Mini Catalogue; this paper is very pretty and is flocked in red. I punched the decoration out of this paper, centering the punch in one of the motifs. The first card has been embellished with dazzling diamonds on the ornaments,I like the sparkle it gives to them.

I was pleased again with the results.

On Dasher!

I finally played with my new Christmas DSP tonight. The stripes come from the Merry Moments paper pack. Dashe was stamped in Chocolate Chip onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I used the mat pack to perforate around the edges of the layer then layered it onto Real Red and Old Olive; Mini Brads were added in the corners. At the bottom I layered the eyelet border punch in the three colors of CS and added the Sleigh Bells ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalogue. The greeting is stamped and then punched out with the word window punch, and this is then layered and staggered onto word windows of each color to frame the image. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Hope you like it!

This is a card I made for a friend of mine, I gave her one of my post-it note holders that matched the card as well. I was playing with the new in-colors and really like the Dusty Durango/Rich Razzleberry combo.

Hope your weekend was enjoyable. Thanks for visiting, Sharri

These are two shaker cards I found in my files that I had done for a swap. They are done with Rose Red and Green Galore cardstock and inks, the Great Friend and Simple Friendship stamp sets, circle and curly label punches to fit the images. I then recycled some acetate that I had on hand and some silver glitter. I added some ribbon and butterfly stickers from my stash to complete the look. Not my favorite cards ever but they were pretty in real life.

Have a great day! Sharri

Crimped Leaves

I fell in love with this card (http://stampingleeyours.blogspot.com/2009/08/crimped-over-top-autumn-days-tutorial.html ) by Lee Conrey, then she posted the tutorial for it and this is my take on the basic card. I used the leaves from Lovely as a Tree and the Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers to ink the stamp, The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes punched out with the word window punch then mounted on the Soft Suede Modern Label punch. This was then flanked with the antique brass Vintage brads; I find they go really well with Soft Suede.
I loved the results.

Fall is here!

Whether we want to admit it or not the days AND nights are much cooler.
This was a card cased from Leeann Greff, http://flowerbug.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/08/card-club-projects.html I used the Autumn Days set and the reinkers for Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry to create the inkpad on a baby wipe for the leaves. For the Pheasant I used the in-color markers to make sure I got the right colors where I wanted them. The card is pretty in real life. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and it is flanked on each end with a Vintage Brad in Antique Brass. Ribbon is Dusty Durango with the dotted side turned under. The tiny leaf is from the Lovely as a tree set. I also added a brown maple leaf brad from my stash, it seemed to add to the finished result.
I watch one of these glorious pheasants all year long as he comes in to my feeder, the winter is reall fun to watch him as he digs down into the snow to find the seeds the smaller birds have thrown out on the ground.
Thanks for looking.
Have a good evening,

Tic Tac Cover/Holder

I made this little cover for Tic Tac candy/breath mints. They are orange so screamed pumpkin to me. The pumpkin was made with the large and small oval punches, dusty Durango cardstock and ink for sponging the edges. The leaves in the background are from the Autumn Days stamp set from Stampin'Up and they are randomly stamped with Versamark ink. I think it turned out very cute and am very pleased with the results.
Nights are cool here but the days are glorious.....sunny and warm; I love fall!

For Mia....

Mia is my grand daughter, she is 4 years old, soon to be 5 in November and even though she lives in Montreal, a days drive away, she keep us all on our toes. My husband will be driving through Montreal early next week so I made this card for him to take to her. She likes butterflies so, after casing the basic card from the new Holiday mini catalogue, I added them to the front for her.
It took me forever to figure out how I was going to make this so she could get the treats out of the card, I finally did after looking at several blogs to see how they were doing it. I eventually made a slider panel on the inside so it could be pulled out and the candy would fall out of the hole in the back. I made the slider by using strips of cardstock on 2 sides and the bottom that were popped up on strips from the sides of the dimensionals then the panel in front of the hole could slide in and out to retrieve the candy. This was my challenge for today.
I used Sweet Centers, Flight of the Butterfly and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Mambo Melon and Bermuda Bay inks and cardstock, Whisper White cardstock and Mambo Melon Polka Dotted Ribbon as well as the butterfly and the scalloped border punches, and the new Sweet Centers cups all from Stampin'Up.
Hope you're enjoying your long weekend!

You only live once!

Today was my birthday and I took the day off to stay home and do just what I wanted to do, I didn't want to HAVE to do anything. Well that was a lost cause....I had more phone calls today than I do when I'm working and aside from catching up on my emails I never got any crafting done as I'd hoped to do. Oh well ....there's always tomorrow. :-)

This is a card I did for a challenge a while ago I used the Fifth Avenue Floral set along with some Pacific Point ribbon(retired), Whisper White, Rose Red and Green Galore SU cardstock as well as some miscellaneous patterned paper from a pad I had and some brads that were in my stash and seemed to go well. I liked the end result and the sentiment from the stamp set sums up the gist of how I feel it should be.

Now should I make plans for tomorrow or just wing it? We see what happens.

Have a great evening, thanks for looking.

I did this card front for a swap at our demo group's summer meeting.
It was cased from:
I love the combination of the Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay; two of the new in colors.
I ran the soft suede base through the big shot with an embossing folder, alternated the layers of the daisies #2 bigshot die, used a length of Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon, then stamped the greeting from Oval All on Whisper White in Soft Suede, which was then punched out with the large oval punch and matted on the scalloped oval in Bermuda Bay.
Over all a pretty card that can be used for almost any occaision.
Have a great day!

Thinking of you

Hi everyone,
This is a card I made for a friend who was having a difficult time. It is a simple layout with patterned paper and the Bird on a branch set from SU. Simple but effective! Hope you had a nice day. Thanks for stopping by, Sharri
