Fabulous Florets...

I have found several cards that I have yet to share with you and this is one.
It uses a retired DSP(Beyond the Garden) but any DSP could be substituted. I made this in a workshop last June and never got it posted. As anyone knows who follows this blog I am a self confessed "Caser"; this is one of those.....cased from Barb Mullikin. I changed up the ribbon but otherwise the same as Barb.
I wanted to demonstrated the 2nd and 3rd generation stamping technique that is shown on this card.
Supplies used:
Stamps: Fabulous Florets(w-123025 or c-123027),
Paper: DSP(retired) Melon Mambo(115320), Wild Wasabi(108641)
Ink: Melon Mambo(126948), Wild Wasabi(126959)
Accessories: Big Shot(113439), Petals a Plenty embossing folder(116824), Melon Mambo Grosgrain Ribbon(retired)

Mother's Day Cards

Traditionally we have a Mother's Day BBQ and have both sides of the family come for supper, and inevitably it rains or even snows. This year both our mothers are away for this day so it'll be a quiet day for us. I made these cards to send with the mothers and for the other mothers in our family.

These cards are all totally cased from several other demos and on-line blogs that I follow.

Hope you enjoy.

I cased this card from Tiffany Bauer: her blog can be found here: www.mycraftyworld.blogspot.com
I used Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink, Cards Stock and Polka Dotted Ribbon along with DSP from the Cottage Wall Collection. The image from Messages for Mom was stamped on Whisper White. I then attached a flower and half pearl from the pretties kit.

This card was cased from Carl Bazhenow's blog found here: www.carlascraps.com
The same image as above was used and then colored with inks and the blender pen. Layers were made from Shades of Spring DSP, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo, the edge was punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. I used the small rhinestone brads found in the pretties kit to finish it off.

The Pink and Green cards were cased from Diana Gibbs, her blog can be found here:
www.stampingwithdi.com

I love the new satin ribbons, the purple one is one I had in my stash but it matches the Shades of Spring DSP perfectly). The sentiment is from Well Scripted set.

The Bermuda Bay card was cased from Jen Sannes, her blog can be found here: www.simpleandsincere.com
This one uses the SAB Welcome Neighbor DSP and the SAB set as well.

Thanks for looking!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you mothers!

Iris Folded Valentines

These are a couple of cards I did for a swap, the theme was Iris or Teabag folding. For these I used the new paper pack from the SAB Welcome Neighbor, the flourish from the Messages for Mom set in the new Occaisions mini catalogue. This was used to create a background paper by stamping it randomly on Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock. A little Melon Mambo grosgrain ribbon finishes it off. The "Bling" in the middle is just a bit of my stash that I picked up ages ago and I'm not even sure where it came from. The heart shape was punched out using the Full Heart punch. The sentiment is also from Messages for Mom.
Thanks for looking!
Have a great weekend,

FINALLY! I got to play....

Well I finally found the time and my back has permitted me to play for a bit today. I've had some of the new items from the new mini catalogue just crying for me to come play with them.
This card is one of the results!

I think this should fit the sketch for the Stamping 411 challenge as well.

I really like how it looked in the end.

It uses a bashful blue card base, I played some with the new pinking hearts punches; will have to practice alot more with these; on Melon Mambo cardstock, the background is DSP from the SAB paper pack, Welcome Neighbor, I LOVE the new Extra Large Two Step Bird punch, this is also from the SAB paper pack. Melon Mambo ribbon and the sentiment comes from one of the new stamp sets; Well Scripted. Hope you like it!

I also have to say that I love the new clear mount stamps and am sooo happy that SU has finally gone this way. The storage system for these is so great as well, much more efficient use of precious space. :-)

I did make a few more things that I will share with you later in the week.

Thank you for your patience and for stopping by.

For Mia....

Mia is my grand daughter, she is 4 years old, soon to be 5 in November and even though she lives in Montreal, a days drive away, she keep us all on our toes. My husband will be driving through Montreal early next week so I made this card for him to take to her. She likes butterflies so, after casing the basic card from the new Holiday mini catalogue, I added them to the front for her.
It took me forever to figure out how I was going to make this so she could get the treats out of the card, I finally did after looking at several blogs to see how they were doing it. I eventually made a slider panel on the inside so it could be pulled out and the candy would fall out of the hole in the back. I made the slider by using strips of cardstock on 2 sides and the bottom that were popped up on strips from the sides of the dimensionals then the panel in front of the hole could slide in and out to retrieve the candy. This was my challenge for today.
I used Sweet Centers, Flight of the Butterfly and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Mambo Melon and Bermuda Bay inks and cardstock, Whisper White cardstock and Mambo Melon Polka Dotted Ribbon as well as the butterfly and the scalloped border punches, and the new Sweet Centers cups all from Stampin'Up.
Hope you're enjoying your long weekend!
