I will get back to posting more regularly, but probably not until the end of March.<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6g5FYOvKzGs/UKalqgNQ0ZI/AAAAAAAABsk/-Ftwu1zSHy0/s1600/Snow+Flurry+Garland.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6g5FYOvKzGs/UKalqgNQ0ZI/AAAAAAAABsk/-Ftwu1zSHy0/s320/Snow+Flurry+Garland.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I saw this garland on Bekka Prideaux's blog and just had to recreate
it. It uses the new Snow Flurry Bigz Big Shot die (127813) from the
Holiday catalogue and the Glimmer paper.<br />
<br />
I did two versions..... <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ov4mCXzaGo0/UKal0RU-K4I/AAAAAAAABss/NdWMrt6BL54/s1600/Snow+Flurry+Garland2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ov4mCXzaGo0/UKal0RU-K4I/AAAAAAAABss/NdWMrt6BL54/s320/Snow+Flurry+Garland2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
.......one with the new Champagne color (127885) and Gold Brads (119741) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TPPJDGK4sRo/UKal1nXGi4I/AAAAAAAABs0/OaxlKOBcYKw/s1600/Snow+Flurry+Garland3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TPPJDGK4sRo/UKal1nXGi4I/AAAAAAAABs0/OaxlKOBcYKw/s320/Snow+Flurry+Garland3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And one with the Silver Glimmer paper(124005) and Silver brads (119741)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Shh7UktVYhM/UKal_wiSdoI/AAAAAAAABs8/EOHPOTjVM7o/s1600/Snow+Flurry+Garland4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Shh7UktVYhM/UKal_wiSdoI/AAAAAAAABs8/EOHPOTjVM7o/s320/Snow+Flurry+Garland4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
They are joined with brads to make a single garland or you can also create patterns by joining them in different places.<br />
This is a very simple but effective project!<br />
Thanks, Bekka!<br />
<br />
I hope your holiday projects are coming along well.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by.<br />

A cute card for our nephew's birthday. This was a case of Mercedes Weber. It uses several Stampin' Up! punches.<br />
<br />
Paper: Bashful Blue(105120), Real Red (102482), Whisper White (100730), Basic Black (121045), Garden Green (102584) Daffodil Delight (119683).<br />
<br />
Stamp Set: Itty Bitty Banners (w-126255 and c-126257)<br />
<br />
Ink: Basic Black( 126980)<br />
<br />
Accessories: Big Shot ( 113439), Bitty Banners Framelits(129267), Cup Cake Builder (121807, 1 3/4" Circle (119850), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), Boho Blossoms ( 119858), Blossom Petals Builder (121808), 1/16th " Handheld circle (101227), 1/4" Handheld circle (retired), Star(retired)punches.<br />
<br />
It worked up quickly and was fun to create!<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zcn4GDdmo8c/UI2RVKKB2eI/AAAAAAAABpw/Gt822QkrKvo/s1600/P1020757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zcn4GDdmo8c/UI2RVKKB2eI/AAAAAAAABpw/Gt822QkrKvo/s320/P1020757.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
I came across this wreath on a YouTube video by Chris Twing. I decided I was going to make one and I am so glad I did! I love love love this wreath.<br />
<br />
I used 6 sheets of Snow Festival DSP (126908), these were cut in 1/2 inch strips and curled with my bone folder(102300). I curled them from the center to each end.<br />
<br />
These strips were then randomly pinned at the center to a solid foam 12" wreath form with cheap straight pins, filling in the front, center and sides of the wreath form.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iw89EsYVeDA/UI2RvuWubhI/AAAAAAAABqA/L2s3eQQDlUA/s1600/P1020759.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iw89EsYVeDA/UI2RvuWubhI/AAAAAAAABqA/L2s3eQQDlUA/s320/P1020759.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
I created a large bow with a doubled length of Cherry Cobbler 3 1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon(127841).<br />
<br />
This was attached to the wreath and secured with more straight pins. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rHcKILFG7wI/UI2R6BVr4YI/AAAAAAAABqI/bEVf_Y9Ke2k/s1600/P1020760.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rHcKILFG7wI/UI2R6BVr4YI/AAAAAAAABqI/bEVf_Y9Ke2k/s320/P1020760.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
A close-up of the curled paper. <br />
<br />
The colors are very traditional but fun! you could easily do one of these for any occasion using co-ordinating DSP.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by!<br />

I saw this card created by Cathrine Pooler and knew I had to case it. It is so festive! <br />

I have only ever made one other of these cards as they can be tricky with measurement but this one was actually quite simple and fun to do. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9Ho42luFMds/UI2Lntzle6I/AAAAAAAABpQ/U4jAsuYGj5Y/s1600/P1020782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9Ho42luFMds/UI2Lntzle6I/AAAAAAAABpQ/U4jAsuYGj5Y/s320/P1020782.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I hope your holiday cards and preparations are well underway. I will be working on mine right up to the wire, but for me that is part of the fun.<br />
<br />
Have a great day!<br />

I stamped and cut out this ornament at the same time as I did the other ones posted previously, but I only got so far and then wasn't sure what I wanted to do to finish it. I finally decided to make it simple and this is the result!<br />
I love it!! (Click on the picture for a larger view.)<br />
<br />
Stamp Set: Ornamental Keepsakes(w-128048 or c-128051) <br />
<br />
Ink: Midnight Muse(126860)<br />
<br />

Paper: Crumb Cake(120953), Midnight Muse(126843), Silver Glimmer Paper (124005)<br />
<br />
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch(119860), Dazzling Diamonds(102023), 2-Way Glue Pen(100425), Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons(127555), Rhinestone Basic Jewels(119246), Big Shot(113439), Holiday Ornaments Framelits dies(127816), Snow Flurry Bigz Die(127813), Crumb Cake 3 1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon(127840)<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Have a great weekend!<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Bq3ascCD1YA/UIQzAmb_fHI/AAAAAAAABkQ/XD3tftHFYYM/s1600/P1020776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Bq3ascCD1YA/UIQzAmb_fHI/AAAAAAAABkQ/XD3tftHFYYM/s320/P1020776.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I hope we don't see that for a while, but one never knows! I don't mind these flakes at all though. I continued to play but with the Snowflake Soiree(w-127922 or c-127925)set and blue inks. This Whisper White (100730)card was masked and stamped with VersaMark(102283) then embossed with White Embossing powder(109132). Inks were then applied with sponge daubers(102892). to create the focal image. I used Island Indigo(126986), Pool Party(126982) and Midnight Muse(126860). Basic Rhinestone Jewels(119246) were added to the centers of the snowflakes. The sentiment is from More Merry Messages stamp set(w-126400 or c-126402).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Hs4B3CVY4qg/UIQzOncB2EI/AAAAAAAABkY/Pcnx1X3J-1E/s1600/P1020774.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Hs4B3CVY4qg/UIQzOncB2EI/AAAAAAAABkY/Pcnx1X3J-1E/s320/P1020774.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This card was masked with torn Post-it notes again and then the inks were applied and the snow flakes were stamped in Midnight Muse(126860). The whole card was over-stamped with the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark pad(126857) from the Holiday Catalogue. I made a boo-boo with ink from the edge of a stamp so I covered it up with the 2 smallest snowflakes from the new Bigz Die, Snow Flurry(127813) in Whisper White and Midnight Muse(126843) card stocks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6DVLl12XaQ4/UIQzaX2uoWI/AAAAAAAABkg/tewqXSZsu68/s1600/P1020775.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6DVLl12XaQ4/UIQzaX2uoWI/AAAAAAAABkg/tewqXSZsu68/s320/P1020775.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A closer look at the Illuminate glimmer ink, the photos do not do this any justice at all. <br />
<br />
These were very quick and rewarding card to create. <br />
<br />
I have many more to share so check back in a day or two.<br />
<br />
Have a great day!<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-90C-zWWxZBs/UIQo2vmVNSI/AAAAAAAABjc/YIKhfGFgofw/s1600/P1020798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-90C-zWWxZBs/UIQo2vmVNSI/AAAAAAAABjc/YIKhfGFgofw/s320/P1020798.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I have lost track of time, I guess. I can't believe it has been so long since I posted last!<br />
I had a chance to play on Friday and was able to create these seasonal one layer cards. I have shied away from this technique for ever, because it looks really difficult.......it is so simple!!! If you have been thinking of trying this please DO IT!!! You will not be disappointed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RC8QjrK1T5Y/UIQpDKVL9OI/AAAAAAAABjk/KFwdcT1M_uI/s1600/P1020795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RC8QjrK1T5Y/UIQpDKVL9OI/AAAAAAAABjk/KFwdcT1M_uI/s320/P1020795.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Paper: Whisper White(100730)<br />
<br />
Inks: Old Olive(126953), Lucky Limeade(126984), Daffodil Delight (126944) and Always Artichoke (126972)<br />
<br />
Stamp Sets: Gently Falling(w-123802 or c-123804), Perfectly Penned (w-122890 or c-122892)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2j-azZjuxHI/UIQpwIZrCMI/AAAAAAAABjs/TyfTOlAt8Q8/s1600/P1020796.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2j-azZjuxHI/UIQpwIZrCMI/AAAAAAAABjs/TyfTOlAt8Q8/s320/P1020796.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Inks: More Mustard(126964), Old Olive(126953), Tangerine Tango (126946), Cajun Craze (126965), and Early Espresso (126974)<br />
<br />
Stamp Sets: French Foliagew-120845 or c-121166), Gently Falling (w-123802 or c-123804) and Curly Cute(w-117014 or c-120510)<br />
<br />
<br />
Accessories: Sponge Daubers(102892), Post-it notes<br />
<br />
Technique: I tore the sticky edge of several Post-it notes and stuck them to the cardstock to create a mask then applied ink straight from the ink pads with the sponge daubers continuing to add colors and blend until I was happy with the look. Then, with the mask still in place I stamped over the area.I used the sae mask for both cards as well! <br />
<br />
Thanks for coming by!<br />

I am finally getting the pictures posted. I have had this ornament finished for over a month but every time I went to post it the pictures were not uploaded. This is Linda Heller's, from Stamping School, version of the ornament although once I was finished I realized I didn't put the Linen Thread on them. I wouldn't use the glitter again either.....I love the look but I hate the mess! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L-NXD-ApjOY/UFxaYvibHvI/AAAAAAAABgI/V0764VbtN8s/s1600/P1020720.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L-NXD-ApjOY/UFxaYvibHvI/AAAAAAAABgI/V0764VbtN8s/s320/P1020720.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
It was not a difficult project but was very time consuming, the results are very gratifying though so I guess it is worth it!<br />
I found that the Stampin'Up! version was too crisp and bright for my liking so I did another version using Crumb Cake CS instead of Whisper White. I found it interesting how the colors look so different on the different colored paper. I used the Starburst Jumbo Wheel to Stamp the Crumb Cake Card Stock for the medallion in the center of the Crumb Cake ornament.<br />
<br />
Supplies used are as follows:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-feMWXtccIE4/UFxanqUn0mI/AAAAAAAABgQ/ivdxmdsRO0Q/s1600/P1020721.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-feMWXtccIE4/UFxanqUn0mI/AAAAAAAABgQ/ivdxmdsRO0Q/s320/P1020721.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OHR5UvU58mQ/UFRvZKYkgjI/AAAAAAAABeA/jEObH1Cvirc/s1600/P1020715.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OHR5UvU58mQ/UFRvZKYkgjI/AAAAAAAABeA/jEObH1Cvirc/s320/P1020715.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I was really WOW'd when I saw this card for the first time. The base is one half of a piece of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper(DSP) trimmed to 5 1/2" x 12". You score the long side at 2", 4", 8", and 10". Then you trim off the corners of each end and attach them to the front flaps at the bottom. Simple but very much a WOW! card. <br />
<br />
Inside:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--IPibHKj9Js/UFRvnWMowRI/AAAAAAAABeI/WAS6BgC8B9s/s1600/P1020716.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--IPibHKj9Js/UFRvnWMowRI/AAAAAAAABeI/WAS6BgC8B9s/s320/P1020716.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
For this card I used:<br />
<br />
Stamp Sets: Embellished Events(w-126495 or c-126497), Itty Bitty Banners(w-125255 or c-125257) and Delightful Dozen(w-122650 or c-122652)<br />
Paper: 2012-2014 In-color Designer Series Paper Stack(126910), Whisper White(100730), Midnight Muse(126843)<br />
Ink: Midnight Muse(126860)<br />
<br />

You can get two different cards from one sheet of DSP, depending on how you fold it. Here is a picture of the other half of the same piece of DSP.<br />

In Canada we have these lovely chocolates that come in a larger box/package, but some times you only need a small something. I created this little token that hold 3 of the chocolate pieces to give as a gift.<br />
It is very simple and any sentiment can be added to it for any occasion.<br />
I used the 2012 in-colors for this project.<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xVYZiTGQ7gw/UEIRa2MfLrI/AAAAAAAABbs/jg0j8F8-aN0/s1600/P1020645.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xVYZiTGQ7gw/UEIRa2MfLrI/AAAAAAAABbs/jg0j8F8-aN0/s320/P1020645.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This great project is actually completely made of paper and it is interactive, in that, the wood moves through the saw. It was a <a href="http://craftprojectcentral.com/may-2012/table-saw-gift-card-holder" target="_blank">CraftProject Central</a> project in May of this year. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-29Ca3Xrw-UU/UEIRlijMTZI/AAAAAAAABb0/18MLULc7fjU/s1600/P1020646.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-29Ca3Xrw-UU/UEIRlijMTZI/AAAAAAAABb0/18MLULc7fjU/s320/P1020646.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
My Dad is a wood worker so this was a must to make for his birthday. It uses all Stampin'Up! products and though it was a challenge to create it was fun!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v5_E45HSrlc/UEIRvaRj8cI/AAAAAAAABb8/HzIKoJTM_Vc/s1600/P1020647.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v5_E45HSrlc/UEIRvaRj8cI/AAAAAAAABb8/HzIKoJTM_Vc/s320/P1020647.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
As the wood is pushed through the saw the gift card protrudes from the back of the saw.<br />
<br />
I hope everyone has a great long weekend!<br />

My sister is an avid gardener and she has beautiful gardens to show for it. I made this cute set of cards for her they all fit into a box that looks like a garden cart. It was designed by Lisa Young a couple of years ago, I updated it slightly by using this years new In-Colors. (Click on the pictures to see a closer view.) <br />
I really loved the final result! <br />

This is a new Sizzlit introduced by Stampin'Up during the Spring Catalogue this year. It is so versatile and beautiful. It does take some extra work removing all the tiny pieces of paper left behind after it is cut, but the end result is so worth it. This card was designed by Penny Ginnery but I really liked it so as usual, cased it for my niece for Mother's Day.<br />

Any stamp set can be used to put in the center of this doily and it is a great stand alone piece as well.<br />
