Paper Doily Sizzlit

This is a new Sizzlit introduced by Stampin'Up during the Spring Catalogue this year. It is so versatile and beautiful. It does take some extra work removing all the tiny pieces of paper left behind after it is cut, but the end result is so worth it. This card was designed by Penny Ginnery but I really liked it so as usual, cased it for my niece for Mother's Day.

Stamp Sets: Fresh Vintage(retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes(w-115370 or c-127802)

Paper: Whisper White(100730), Baha Breeze(111352)

Ink: Baha Breeze(126960)

Accessories: Pearl Basic Jewels(119247), 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon(122331), Word Window(119857) and Modern Label(119849) punches, Big Shot(113439),
Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder(117335), Paper Doily Sizzlits L(125592),
3" Circle Original Die(121811)

Any stamp set can be used to put in the center of this doily and it is a great stand alone piece as well.

Reason to Smile!

This card was created using the July promotion set Reason to Smile. It is a case of a fellow demo, Sandi McIver, I love how she used the stamps in the set to create the background on the bottom of the card. The card recipe is:

Paper: Baha Breeze(111352), Old Olive(100702)
Ink: Baha Breeze(126960) Old Olive(126953)
Stamp Sets: Reason to Smile, Perfectly Penned(w-122890 or c-122892)

Accessories: White Gel Pen(105021), White Organza Ribbon(114319), Blender Pen(102845), Big Shot(113439), Fancy Fan embossing folder(127751), Finishing Touches Edglit(127010), Labels Collection Framelits(125598)

I used a blender pen to color the line image. The picture doesn't show it well but I didn't let the gel pen dry enough and managed to smudge the white in places so please learn from my mistakes.

The weather is HOT here this week, for me anyway, I don't do heat and humidity well. I hope you are enjoying your week, where ever you are!

Thanks for stopping by!

Back to School back packs

Wow, I am house cleaning, can you tell?
I found the pictures of these backpacks I made last fall for our grand daughter, Mia, and nephew, Jeffrey, when going back to school. I stuffed them full of treats and fun erasers and things for school and the little pocket on the front had money in it for them to spend on a special something for school.
They were created using Tangerine Tango CS(111349), Daffodil Delight CS(119683), Garden Green CS(102584) , Pumpkin Pie CS(105130). The DSP's are retired.
The top flap is a folded Top Note BigZ(113463) diecut that has been folded miscellaneous brads hold the flap and the pocket . The pocket is also a diecut, Scallop Envelop BigZ(113462)
Grosgrain ribbon to coordinate with the DSP also.

The template for the backpack is out there you just have to search for it then adapt or swap out the DSP and matching cardstock.

A fun project for someone special!

Hope you have had a great weekend so far!
