I have only ever made one other of these cards as they can be tricky with measurement but this one was actually quite simple and fun to do.
I hope your holiday cards and preparations are well underway. I will be working on mine right up to the wire, but for me that is part of the fun.

Have a great day!

DSP Fancy fold card

I was really WOW'd when I saw this card for the first time. The base is one half of a piece of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper(DSP) trimmed to 5 1/2" x 12". You score the long side at 2", 4", 8", and 10". Then you trim off the corners of each end and attach them to the front flaps at the bottom. Simple but very much a WOW! card.

Inside:
For this card I used:

Stamp Sets: Embellished Events(w-126495 or c-126497), Itty Bitty Banners(w-125255 or c-125257) and Delightful Dozen(w-122650 or c-122652)
Paper: 2012-2014 In-color Designer Series Paper Stack(126910), Whisper White(100730), Midnight Muse(126843)
Ink: Midnight Muse(126860)

Accessories: Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon(126847), Paper Trimmer,
Big Shot(113439), Bitty Banners Framelits(129267), Window Frames Collection Framelits(129021), Festive Paper-Piercing Pack(127857), Stampin' Dimensionals(104430)
You can get two different cards from one sheet of DSP, depending on how you fold it. Here is a picture of the other half of the same piece of DSP.

Have a great weekend!

Fun Fold!

I made this card for a fellow demo, she and her hubby were celebrating  an anniversary.
I was inspired after seeing a similar card on France Martin's blog, a fellow demo as well. Very simple it uses 1/2 sheet of Designer Series Paper and what ever you want to embellish it with.
Supplies are:
Paper: Floral District DSP(126919), Baha Breeze CS(111352),  Razzleberry CS(115316) and Whisper White (100730)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry(126950)
Stamp Sets: A Word For You(w-117528 or c-120528), Artistic Etchings
(w-118517 or C-120573) and Border Banter(w-128927 or c-128930)
Accessories: Big Shot(113439), Finishing Touches Edgelits(127010), Hearts Collection Framelits(125599), Bird Builder Punch(117191), Rhinestone Basic Jewels(119246)

It was a fun card to do and I will be doing more of these.

Thanks Frenchie!

Have a great weekend! It's a long one here in New Brunswick.

Fancy Folds Class #1

I recently held a Fancy Folds class where we created 4 cards and a Gift Card Holder.
It was a fun and interesting class. I will detail the cards we created over the next few posts.
The first card is an Origami Diamond Fold card found here. We used DSP from the stacks I used the Red Glimmer paper and Whisper White to decorate the tabs
Organza Whisper White ribbon was tied around the flap and Snowflakes from the Northern Frost strip and Rhinestones are on the mid fold while a Real Red button and 1/8th Taffeta Ribbon on the front.
Inside we stamped snowflakes from the Serene Snowflakes and the sentiment is from the Christmas Greetings set.

It is a card and envelope in one and very fun to do. We used the Simply Scored tool as well.

Keep checking back for the other cards.
